Staff Reports Both Dothan and Enterprise baseball teams fell in high school baseball action on Friday afternoon during tournament action in Holtville and Hoover, respectively.
After a strikeout, Connor Cody walked to load the bases. Cole Ethridge was the hit by a pitch to force in McCorkel. It also kept the bases loaded, but an ensuing strikeout ended the threat and the game. Brady Richardson broke up Rossville’s no-hit bid with a lead-off double in the seventh. He moved to third on a wild pitch before Cayden Boutwell drew a walk. Gavin Maund scored Richardson on a sacrifice fly to right field. A fielder’s choice and a fly out followed to end the game.
Edgewood Academy 13-5, Lakeside 3-2: The Chiefs lost both games of a doubleheader to Edgewood Academy, losing the first game 12-5 and the second game 5-2.
