Staff Reports DALEVILLE – Omarion Pinckney rushed for 211 yards and three touchdowns as Daleville handed Providence Christian its first region loss on Friday night with a 20-15 win over the Eagles.Providence is now 5-3 overall, 5-1 in the region.

Greenville cut the lead in half with 27 seconds left in the opening quarter when BJ Dickerson threw a 17-yard touchdown pass to Reggie Reed. BJ Bedgood returned the ensuing kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown, but the extra point kick was blocked by Person, leaving the score 28-20. The two teams along with Carroll ended up tied for second 3-2 in Class 5A, Region 2 play. CHHS finishes as the region’s No. 2 team by virtue of its win over top seed Eufaula. Headland takes third by a head-to-head win over Carroll, which finishes fourth.

Defensively, Danny Hardrick had four solo tackles and four assists, Kaden Simmons had five tackles, Aly Baker had three solos, two assists and a sack and Meadows had an interception. Geneva 30, Bullock County 20: The Panthers celebrated a happy homecoming as senior Kingston Tolbert rushed for 120 yards on 25 carries with touchdown runs of 1 and 9 yards.

Barnes had TD runs of 12 and 35 yards and returned a punt 45 yards for a touchdown. Black had TD runs of 14 and 34 yards as Straughn led 42-7 by halftime.In the second half, Saxby Radford threw a 4-yard touchdown pass to Clark Jordan and Cameron Adams added a touchdown as Straughn improved to 7-1 overall, 6-0 in Class 3A, Region 2.
