St Annes is set to host its annual kite festival later this month, with hundreds of kites expected to fill the skies above the seaside town. The event, organised by SmileFactor10 in partnership with Fylde Council, will be the biggest yet, featuring almost 250 flyers and extending into Saturday evening. The free festival begins on Friday, September 13, from 12pm to 10pm, and includes an illuminated kite flying evening.
The festival celebrating the art of kite flying will not only offer sky-high spectacles but also workshops and demonstrations for enthusiasts keen to learn more. Families are invited to bring their kites or purchase one to join in the fun on the beach. Sue Kennedy from SmileFactor 10 expressed her excitement: 'We're excited to be back for 2024 and look forward to welcoming new friends from across the world and closer to home.
