Scunthorpe to fly the flag for Pride 🏳️🌈
Scunthorpe is set to hold its first ever Pride event in Church Square later this summer and details of the event have been confirmed.
It comes after Church Square urban park opened last September following a full-scale refurbishment, in part to make it a better place to host events. The refurb was funded by £1m from the Government’s Towns Fund. Some elements of the historic day have already been confirmed. Drag queen Ida Slapter will perform, as will Almost P!nk, real name Kyla Porter, who is described as one of the UK’s best tribute acts to the pop-punk star, Pink.
