New photos reveal that Prince Andrew 's Royal Lodge appears to be in a serious state of neglect, with black mould, damp and cracked paintwork starting to show on the exterior of the 31-bedroom mansion in Windsor. The property is valued at a whopping £31 million and has reportedly been at the centre of an ongoing row between the Duke of York and his brother, King Charles. The weathering is evident not only on the main house but also on the outbuildings and gatehouse.
It's said that the King ordered The Keeper of the Privy Purse to halt the payments. Since his ascension to the throne, King Charles has reportedly asked Andrew multiple times to leave the lodge and relocate to the smaller Frogmore Cottage, previously occupied by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. He's also reportedly claimed that he can still cover his seven-figure private security bill, despite the King ceasing to contribute Royal funds towards it. Andrew's residence is within the 'ring of steel' surrounding Windsor Castle, but he also maintains his own security personnel, reports the Mirror.
