ICYMI: Prince Andrew tests positive for COVID-19, will miss Jubilee event he was invited to attend
“The duke has tested positive for COVID and with regret will no longer be attending tomorrow’s service,” the spokesman said.
A palace source said Andrew had seen the 96-year-old queen in recent days but had been taking regular tests. He has not seen the monarch since he tested positive. Tens of thousands of royal supporters lined the streets of London on Thursday to kick off four days of pomp, parties and parades to mark the queen’s record-breaking 70 years on the British throne. She has reigned for longer than any of her predecessors.Article content
Senior royals, including Charles, 73, and William, 39, will also carry out other ceremonial duties on the queen’s behalf, although much attention will be focused on those who will not be present.
