Her Majesty received an Honorary Doctorate of Literature on 20 November, proudly presented to her by Princess Anne at the University of London. The two senior royals stood together for formal photographs as Camilla received her Honorary Doctorate , marking a rare joint engagement for the two women.
The event marked a rare joint outing for Camilla and Anne, which former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond has claimed shows that Camilla has won the "admiration" of her sister-in-law. Camilla married Anne's brother King Charles, 75, back in 2005, and has worked hard to build her image and relations with the Royals.
She went on to explain the "history" the two women share and how they will share "secrets" with one another through mutual trust. Jennie continued: "You have to remember that Camilla was married to Andrew Parker Bowles, who was once a boyfriend of the princess. They share a lot of history and probably a lot of secrets."
