Federal prosecutors in Manhattan have charged six people with drug crimes who were allegedly linked to the overdose death of Colin Kroll, the co-founder of the HQ Trivia game app.
The six men, charged in an indictment unsealed Wednesday, were members of a drug-trafficking organization that called itself Mike’s Candyshop, prosecutors said. Customers texted their orders to what was known as the Candyshop Number to get deliveries of heroin and cocaine, according to prosecutors.
