Pennsylvania State Police are reporting that they have seized millions of dollars worth of prohibited drugs during the third quarter of 2023.
According to a press release, troopers acquired approximately $21.2 million in cocaine, methamphetamines, heroin, fentanyl, marijuana, and other prohibited drugs from July 1st to September 30th.They also collected 698 pounds of prescription medication as part of their Prescription Drug Takeback Program in the third quarter alone.
65 stations across the state are currently offering boxes for people to dispose of unused or unwanted meds. They are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
