Guiding Eyes for the Blind flies in dogs to Cleveland, January 12, 2022MIDDLEFIELD, Ohio -- Shortly after landing at the Geauga County airport Wednesday, the door to a prop plane swung open and a small head emerged.
Fenway arrived with Guiding Eyes for the Blind, who teamed with animal rescue organization Pilots to the Rescue to bring three future guide dogs to the Cleveland area to meet their puppy raisers. Raisers are volunteers who give the doggies love, support and training for 14-16 months before they return to the Guiding Eyes New York campus to begin their formal training to become exceptional guide dogs.
