🔴 Rail passengers have complained of having to stand on overcrowded trains with locked lavatories, and children screaming in discomfort and wetting themselves as chaos continues on services across the north of England
Another customer, Marie, also complained that the toilets on a service from Newcastle were locked, leaving children in extreme discomfort. “Absolutely disgraceful service,” she wrote to TPE. “On the 1046 from newcastle. Toilets locked, kids screaming in pain and wetting themselves. Overcrowded and dangerous!!”
Another customer called Lianne made a similar complaint. “Any reason you lock the toilets on a busy train? We have people in the carriage crying in pain needing the toilet,” she said.A decade of Conservative failure has left the north with second-rate infrastructure and rail services in crisis. It is time for ministers to stop rewarding abject failure and deliver a clear plan to tackle this chaos.
