have officially ended their association with outfield Bayron Lora after MLB disciplined the 20-year-old outfielder pursuant to its Domestic Violence policy.
Lora, who received a $3.9 million bonus from the Rangers in 2019, did not play in 2022 while MLB conducted an investigation into allegations of domestic violence. Two people with knowledge of the suspension confirmed to The Dallas Morning News that he received a two-year suspension that covered 2022-23.
Lora spent the entire DSL season on the restricted list in 2022. As such, the Rangers were not permitted to release him.
