It read: "To my Rangers family, coaches, staff, teammates and fans, I thank you for your support over the past two years. I will never forget my time up there, an experience that will stay with me forever. I also apologise as I wasn't able to help in the ways that I wanted to and that hurt me the most. They state that Rangers are interested with the Foxes willing to allow the Australia international to leave on loan or permanently. But it is stated that a move to Ibrox is a "deal that could go through closer to the deadline."
