Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim set deadline ahead of third round of bidding for Man United MUFC
Parties interested in buying Manchester United have been told there will be a third round of bidding, talkSPORT understands.
Groups including Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Qatari Sheikh Jassim Bin Al Thani have been given until the end of April to submit their revised offers.Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe are understood to be the leading contenders to buy Man UnitedIt’s understood both Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim, who are the leading parties in the race for the keys to Old Trafford, have both submitted world record bids of around £5billion for the Premier League club.
Sheikh Jassim is the son of a former Qatari prime minister and is the chairman of Qatar Islamic Bank. He has said his interest is a private initiative through his Nine Two Foundation and is not connected to the Qatari state.However, Man United fans may be more open to the idea of their club being taken over by INEOS chief Ratcliffe.
