Here's an exclusive look at the 12-slide pitch deck generative AI startup Sutro used to score $2.2 million in funding
The startup does this by combining elements of low-code, AI-generated code, and custom code.Although Owen Campbell-Moore has spent the last 10-odd years at tech giants like Google and Meta, he's always noticed an interesting irony in the industry.
Now, Campbell-Moore, alongside cofounder Tomas Halgas, are aiming to empower these everyday people with their startup Sutro, a software development service that combines low-code,, and custom code to help people build apps, including their websites, mobile versions, and backends. With Sutro, customers first describe their app idea in plain English. Then, the software translates the natural language into"Sutro language," an"error-correcting" programming language that allows users to input instructions close to what they're looking for and then transforms into structured code that ensures"the overall integrity and sanity" of what they're building, Campbell-Moore said.
Sutro is currently in beta and is accessible through a waitlist, mainly serving non-technical startup founders and small businesses so far. Already, users have leveraged the platform to create marketplaces and apps that incorporate payments, subscriptions, and video support, Campbell-Moore told Insider.
