Record heat is likely into the weekend before temperatures decrease by early next week.

The intense heat wave will stick around through the remainder of the week and this weekend.
Luckily, the heat dome will shift westward by early next week, allowing for a weak, summertime front to move into North Texas. This front will bring a slight cool down with highs in the mid to upper 90s along with a slight chance of a stray storm.Temperatures will once again heat up to triple digits by the time we get to the start of the Labor Day weekend.
