Although the NCAA investigation is still on-going, a majority of coaches from around the Big Ten reportedly want the conference to act now.

Although the NCAA investigation into the Michigan football program for sign-stealing is still ongoing, the vast majority of Big Ten coaches are urging commissioner Tony Petitti to act now.that the discussion took place on Wednesday after a regularly scheduled call with all head coaches within the conference. According to Thamel, Harbaugh dropped off from the call after about 30 minutes, at which point in time the remaining coaches spent nearly an hour encouraging Petitti to take action.

Sources: On a Big Ten coaches call on Thursday, a vast majority of the league’s coaches encouraged commissioner Tony Petitti to punish Michigan amid its NCAA sign-stealing investigation. “Collectively, the coaches want the Big Ten to act,” per ESPN source.ESPN's Adam Rittenberg took things a step further, reporting that his source told him that Petitti is going to have to act or risk losing coaches and ADs.

I don't doubt that there are some coaches who definitely want Michigan punished, and my gut tells me that Ohio State's Ryan Day and Penn State's James Franklin are likely the leading voices in that effort. Both head coaches stand to lose the most from Michigan being able to continue on its season, so it stands to reasons that they would have the most to gain from Michigan's season coming to an abrupt end.
