The search area being coordinated covers an 11-mile stretch
Searches for missing Lisburn woman Paula Elliott have now entered their third week as the community rescue service coordinating the efforts provided an update on Tuesday.
READ MORE: Paula Elliott: Police searching for missing Lisburn woman appeal for teenage girls to come forward He said: “The Community Search and Rescue Service in coordination with the police are continuing to carry out searches every day and every evening on the River Lagan and the surrounding area in the effort to find the missing person.“We’re on a very structured and specific search pattern and we have to repeat that every few hours.“That means we’re on a continuous rotation of repeating and repeating the search pattern, and we’ll have to keep doing that until we find our missing person.
“We will then continue to do that in a downstream effort right down as far as the Lagan Weir in the centre of Belfast.”
