Capcom has revealed lifetime sales figures for its biggest franchises, with Resident Evil and Monster Hunter coming out on top.

The Resident Evil series has long been their biggest success story, and has managed to stay relevant for almost 30 years now . Capcom has now confirmed it’s the company’s biggest IP, with the series having hit 160 million total sales, following the success of Resident Evil 4 remake and Resident Evil Village.
Capcom recently announced it’s working on the ninth mainline Resident Evil game, although it’s unclear when it will be released. Aside from an upcoming remaster of Dead Rising, the company’s next big game is Monster Hunter Wilds, scheduled for 2025. Last month, Capcom revealed 90.1% of its sales were digital in the 2023 financial year, but despite that, it doesn’t plan to ditch physical games.
