A man has been held on suspicion of attempted murder
A quiet corner of Trafford has been transformed into a crime scene in events neighbours say is something ‘we’ve never had’.
Detectives kept the area sealed off this morning as rain lashed down on Urmston, and a quiet sense of shock also fell. Now, police are appealing for the public’s help to find out what happened.“Officers received a call from colleagues at NWAS at 5.18pm on Monday 19 June 2023, to reports a man who had sustained stab wounds,” a statement from GMP said. “He was taken to hospital for surgery and his condition is described as critical but stable.
The sense of disquiet could be felt on the residential roads which surround the walkway, in the shadow of the M60.
