Reverend Richard Coles and Charles Spencer have launched a new podcast together - The Rabbit Hole Detectives. The two will be joined each week by archaeologist Dr Cat Jarman as they fall down "weird and wonderful historical rabbit holes", setting one another different topics to explore.
Charles Spencer, the brother of the late Princess Diana, announced the launch of The Rabbit Holes Detectives in a letter as part of an email sent out by the Althorp Estate near Northampton. He writes: "I don’t usually promote my work through email, but I did want to flag up my latest venture, in case it was of interest to you. Today is the launch of a new podcast, The Rabbit Hole Detectives, with the Rev. Richard Coles, Dr Cat Jarman, and me.
Dr Jarman, a bioarchaeologist and field archaeologist specializing in the Viking Age and Viking women, led the dig at Princess Diana's childhood home in Northamptonshire after an amazing archaeological discovery was made last March. Artefacts dating back 40,000 years were unearthed and experts were hoping to find the remains of an abandoned medieval village but stumbled upon items which are thought to connect the site to a far older Neanderthal camp.
