Inspired by classic, retro styling, the beauty look at Richard Quinn leant into pared-down – dare I say demure – elegance. “Often with Richard, we go for something really sharp, gelled and sculptural,” hairstylist Sam McKnight tells British Vogue. “This season, the moodboard is more minimal. There is still a really elegant up-do, so there’s a touch of polished glamour.
“I don’t like a ton of products at once, as it makes the head too heavy. Richard’s clothes have very important necklines – he likes it when the head is slightly smaller in contrast with the clothing. We’ve tried many variations of sleeker hair and this is the softest so far,” McKnight elaborates. Meanwhile, Terry Barber was behind the make-up, formulating a “classic, sophisticated ’90s look” that was a nod to the supermodel era.
