The UK Prime Minister met with the India leader at the G20 summit venue in New Delhi and said he discussed the matter of the Jagtar Singh Johal, who is at risk of the death penalty in India.
Rishi Sunak confirmed he raised the case of detained Dumbarton man Jagtar Singh Johal during a meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Speaking to broadcasters at the summit venue in New Delhi, the Prime Minister said: "Yes, I was able to, alongside a range of other consular issues that Prime Minister Modi and I discussed in the time that we had.
