Roads have been reopened in Coatbridge after residents were evacuated due to a reported chemical leak yesterday.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service dispatched specialist hazmat units to an incident it said involved "potentially hazardous materials". A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Cameron Street in Coatbridge has reopened following a report of a chemical leak yesterday. No-one was injured in the incident and enquiries are ongoing." "I was there for ten minutes and my eyes started to burn as well," said Sid, adding: "We were loading a scooter in the van and my eyes were burning that much that I couldn’t see."
