After months of testimony and hours of deliberation, a jury ruled the 78-year-old real estate heir guilty in the 2000 shooting of Berman. Prosecutors argued that Durst shot Berman to prevent her from incriminating him in the death of his first wife, Kathleen Durst, who disappeared in 1982. Berman, 55, was found dead in Beverly Hills just one hour before she was scheduled to meet with the police.
