It’s not even a question of ideology, morality, or whether LGBTQ+ people deserve rights or not; ita simple question of power. The simultaneous fostering of political polarization, alongside a narrative of unity via targeted scapegoating is an old trick from a. The strategic weaponization of differences to create fear is currently being used to strip LGBTQ+ people of hard-won rights and recognition.
