Rory and Erica, who is from New York, first crossed paths back in 2012 when Erica was working for the PGA
The news was confirmed by Rory's communications team on May 14, 2024. It comes after the pair's seven year marriage, after starting off as friends.
She noticed that McIlroy hadn't left for the course and woke him up - a friendship was formed and then a romantic connection. Rory and Erica got engaged in Paris in 2015 and tied the knot on April 22, 2017, at Ashford Castle in Cong, Co Mayo. In August 2020, the pair celebrated the birth of their daughter Poppy Kennedy McIlroy.
