The travel company, Skyscanner, did a survey asking people what airplane etiquette rules are the most offensive if broken.
Flying is already a challenging experience, but there could be things that we’re doing that are annoying to others. Here are some of the top answers:Asking someone to switch seats: About 31% of the people surveyed say this is an annoying behavior.Using both armrests: About 31% say this is a big no-no. Some travel insiders disagree, saying the person in the middle seat gets both armrests . Others say the middle armrests are to be shared between all three people.
Are you okay with someone taking off their shoes, socks or both?Being chatty: Yeah, this one ranks pretty high. About 39% say they don’t want to strike up a conversation with their seatmates. Travel experts say there are subtle ways to show someone you’re not willing to chat with strangers. Like putting in your headphones, wearing sunglasses or a sleep mask, or just putting up the hood on your jacket or sweatshirt.
