The Riders may have been awarded the Grey Cup in the early months of 2019, but the organization actually started the bidding process in August of 2018.Article content “I’m really excited, personally, to see it all unfold here,” Reynolds said. “I think we’ve got some outstanding plans and have spent a lot of time energy and effort, not just from myself, obviously, but from our entire team here. I’m personally very excited to see it and experience it and have a great week here in Saskatchewan.”
When it came to planning for the event, Reynolds used his experience as chair of the Grey Cup Operating Committee the last time Saskatchewan hosted the Grey Cup in 2013 — and, for good measure, celebrated the Roughriders’ 45-23 victory over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Taylor Field.
