A wildfire that started around noon Wednesday has burned 4,625 acres along Interstate 5 near Castaic Lake.
The map above shows the approximate perimeter of the Route Fire and the area of mandatory evacuation, in the hills of northwest Los Angeles County. On Interstate 5, traffic in each direction was reduced from four to two lanes for the 15 miles between Parker Road and Vista del Lago Road.
