Ruben Amorim is set to become the next Manchester United manager, but the Portuguese boss hasn't convinced Paul Scholes who was eager for a different appointment
Amorim, 39, has agreed a deal to takeover the reins at Old Trafford, with the club moving swiftly after Ten Hag was sacked. The Sporting Lisbon manager has an outstanding reputation in his native Portugal having won two league titles in four seasons, including a league and cup double in his first campaign.
"I agree on Ruben Amorim - it feels a bit like Erik ten Hag . He's coming from the Portuguese league which is a bit better than the Dutch league. Amorim previously declined the chance to manage West Ham United in the summer and was also heavily linked with a move to Liverpool. Sporting are currently topping the charts in the Portuguese top-flight, boasting a perfect record with nine wins out of nine, 30 goals scored and only two conceded.
