"The ties represent unity. I was in Goodwill one day and I saw the ties. Some were skinny, some were fat, some were nice. They represent unity and that’s why we wanted to bring that in here."
The brave men and women who step up to serve the country are a big part of what makes Hinesville a family. "I was a school teacher. I taught on base for 26 years. I called them military babies. To see the devastation with the kids was hard. We try to love them and be there for them when they need us," Lori Pool said.
