Ukrainian officials say 270 detainees were released in a broad exchange that included the release of American and British fighters

Without providing evidence, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that top NATO officials had said that it’d be acceptable to carry out nuclear strikes on Russia. In the exchange, Russia released 215 prisoners from its custody, including Ukrainian soldiers, police officers, civilians and others, said Andriy Yermak, Ukraine’s chief of presidential staff. In return, Russia received 55 Russians and a pro-Kremlin Ukrainian politician, he said.
