A woman walking near the Rutgers Federal Credit Union was robbed on Thursday in the most recent incident.
A pedestrian walking on or close to Rutgers University’s campus in New Brunswick was robbed Thursday by a man who fled on a bike in the fourth of similar robberies in the past eight days, authorities said.police said the first three robberies are believed to have been committed by the same man, a university spokeswoman didn’t immediately say Friday if he is thought to be responsible for the most recent one on Thursday.
Authorities didn’t immediately say what the robber took before he rode away on Mine Street toward Easton Avenue. The other three robberies or attempted robberies took place on April 19 between 3 and 5 p.m., Rutgers police previously said. In the second incident, the robber took something from a person walking near the corner of New and Kirkpatrick streets in downtown New Brunswick.
