State and Salt Lake City leaders say they have even more reason to believe another Winter Olympic Games will be coming to Salt Lake City.
Gov. Spencer Cox said there's really only one reason for the International Olympic Committee to announce they might award two cities with future Olympic games on the same date.Fewer locations, besides Salt Lake City, want to host Winter Olympics She also said the city government and the state legislature is very united in their efforts to bring the games back.
Bullock also said privately owned venues like the Delta Center are being maintained already, so they wouldn’t need to spend money there. Utah is also bidding for the 2030 games, but countries like Sweden, Switzerland and France are also making bids for that year. It’s possible that one of those countries would change their bid and aim for 2034, but Bullock said that’s not likely.
