San Antonio boxer Josh Franco defending WBA super flyweight title Saturday for second straight time in Tokyo

The fight ended in a draw. His three-fight trilogy with Colombian veteran Oscar Negrete beginning in late 2018 introduced Joshua Franco to boxing’s big stage.
So it should have come as no surprise when Franco agreed to a second fight against Japanese star Kazuto Ioka. Clearly, history indicates the San Antonio native is comfortable fighting the same fighter multiple times.Franco and Ioka are scheduled to meet Saturday night , at the Ota-City General Gymnasium, site of their first meeting on New Year’s Eve, a fight that ended in a majority draw.
Note that all three judges came from outside of Japan. Afterward, Franco didn’t claim a hometown bias, but nevertheless he thought he won the fight.
