“When we left the courtroom, we hugged, and I told her, ‘Melisa, I love you, and I want you to do something good with your life - show me that you can do something good,’” Flores recalled. “All of his patients were like, ‘You guys would be so sweet together!’ And they just loved him,” Wigley said. “And that’s just kind of how it happened … He would just kind of make his way to the front and get coffee more than usual. We just started talking.”
“I kind of remember just drinking a few beers,” Wigley said. “I remember going up to the jukebox to play a song... And then after that, I don’t remember a thing.”
