A weak cold front is forecast to push into town today with 1 to 2 inches of rain possible, according to the National Weather Service.

While similar to the spouts of heavy rain Monday, the wet weather is not expected to last long, said Keith White, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.Still, some areas could see as much as 1 to 2 inches and some minor flooding today, White said. The government forecaster is predicting a 40 percent chance of storms today, largely before 4 p.m. An additional 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms are expected before 7 p.m.

San Antonio is also expected to see a short-lived cold front today, with daytime highs in the lower 80s. The overnight low is 66.Looking ahead this week, forecasters are eyeing another cold front with a low chance of showers and thunderstorms beginning overnight on Friday.
