The San Francisco Giants are purportedly looking at assistant coach Alyssa Nakken to interview for the MLB team's vacant manager position.
Nakken, the first full-time female coach in league history, is on the list of candidates within the Giants organization being considered for the position previously held by Gabe Kapler, according to a report.Mark Hallberg, the team's third-base coach, and Kai Correa, the team's bench coach, are also being interviewed for the job, the report noted.
Nakken, 33, has been with the Giants since 2020 and became the first woman to coach on an MLB field after she appeared as the team's first-base coach in a 2022 game.
