During his initial court appearance Tuesday, Gogue did not enter a plea and was remanded to jail without bail, pending another court appearance on June 1. Still, questions about how the flames were able to level the Home Depot so quickly and whether fire code violations at the building played a role remain unanswered. Records recently obtained by this news organization reveal that several notable fire code violations were discovered over the past two years at the 98,000-square-foot store.
