SAN JOSE – A driver hit and killed a pedestrian Thursday night in San Jose, police said.
The traffic collision was reported at 8:26 p.m. at Almaden Expressway and Foxworthy Avenue, according to the San Jose Police Department.The death marked the city’s 13th roadway fatality of the year and the ninth to involve a pedestrian. The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office will identify the man once his identity is confirmed and his next of kin is notified.Southbound Almaden Expressway was closed to traffic while police conducted an investigation.
Units are currently at the scene of a traffic fatality involving a vehicle and a pedestrian at the intersection of Almaden Expwy and Foxworthy Av. Adult male pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with major injuries. He was declared deceased shortly after arriving.
