Neil deGrasse Tyson, the astrophysicist and popularizer of science, is second on the schedule and will speak from Nov. 13 to 17. He is head of the Hayden Planetarium and speaks often about the intersections of space, science, culture and life.
Cristina Mittermeier, National Geographic’s “Adventurer of the Year,” will showcase her photography from the most remote corners of the Earth. The Mexico City native is a conservationist and biologist, as well as a world-renowned photographer. She will be in LA County from Feb. 5 to 9.
