Sandra Bullock opened up on her 'fears' as she raises Black children in the United States
December 02, 2021 - 22:22 GMT Rebecca Lewis Sandra Bullock has opened up on her"fears" of raising two Black children in the United States. After a year in which the world reckoned with the implicit bias and racism many people and institutions hold, Sandra admitted that she has been"schooling" her children on living in a world where they are viewed by some differently.
"As a white parent who loves her children more than life itself, I'm scared of everything," she shared. Speaking on Wednesday's episode of Red Table Talk alongside Willow Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith and her mother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris, Sandra - who is mom to Louis, 11, and Laila, eight - added:"With Lou being a young Black man, at one point, sweet, funny Lou is gonna be a young man. And the minute he leaves my home, I can't follow him everywhere, though I will try."
"I let him process it. He knows how the world works. He knows how cruel it is. He knows how unfair it is," she said.
