Health officials say they’re expecting to see a rise in flu cases this fall and winter after two years of decline during the pandemic.

Health officials say the person who died was an adult under the age of 65, had underlying conditions and was not vaccinated for the flu.

Emergency rooms throughout Santa Clara County report about three times the number of flu cases than in the 2019-2020 season. Infectious Disease Specialist Dr. Monica Gandhi says people need to be especially cautious when gathering this holiday season. "If you have to cough or sneeze, remember to do that in your elbow. Wash your hands after you cough or sneeze. Here in California, we can keep more ventilation going because it’s not as cold. Keep those windows somewhat open," Dr.

Tim Allen is 'Humbled' to Be Santa Again in Disney's 'The Santa Clauses'Tim Allen is 'Humbled' to Be Santa Again in Disney's 'The Santa Clauses'For Tim Allen, revisiting his iconic lead role in ‘The Santa Clauses’ (November 16, Disney+) was more than just creating 'content' for a nostalgic streaming audience. 'We had a great responsibility,” he told Newsweek’s H. Alan Scott on the Parting Shot. For Allen, who is 'humbled' to be 'reminded that I have been part of Santa Clause,' he wanted the new miniseries to 'make sense for the adults like me.' Part of that meant filling in some holes left by the original 1994 film, ‘The Santa Clause.’ 'There's a wonderful scene where I meet up and get kind of chastised by all the other Santas that have come and gone.' But ultimately what makes the role so relatable is 'it's about a guy's journey and about making sacrifices.' That's something Allen can relate to, given that his wholesome onscreen persona can be at odds with his onstage comic image. For Allen, who says sometimes 'censorship is required,' it's about how you communicate. 'There are better words than the F bomb. I can't think of them, but there are other ways to say that. It is possible to be very intelligent and yet still be very firm with your words.'
