The province recently repealed regulations giving employers legal protection to ask for proof of vaccination or frequent negative tests.

The cities of Saskatoon and Regina, as well as other large employers like Nutrien and the Regina Exhibition Association Ltd. , said on Wednesday their workers will no longer need to prove they are vaccinated or show a negative test on a frequent basis.

The City of Saskatoon and City of Regina confirmed Wednesday they will no longer require proof of vaccination or negative tests for employees. “External visitors, including contractors, must still provide proof of vaccination to enter our sites,” Nutrien said in an emailed statement. “Vaccination is still required for those employees who travel for work.”Article contentSaskatchewan Health Authority also no longer require employees to prove they are vaccinated or provide a negative test.

Masks at the U of R will be in place until further notice. At the University of Saskatchewan, they will be required until April 30.
