This year, 14 athletes from Team North participated in the first half of the Games, which wrapped up Wednesday morning. A total of 26 athletes are scheduled to take part in the second half of the Games, which run through Saturday.Article content “We traditionally don’t have curling,” said Karakochuk, who is the program manager for sport, culture and recreation in northern Saskatchewan. “We have one curling rink in our 54 communities. The team adjusted to the different level of competition and experience at the Winter Games. Hardcastle also had to adapt to the different ice conditions at the Callie Curling Club compared to La Ronge.
