Saudi police arrested a citizen who helped Gil Tamari, an Israeli journalist, sneak into Mecca.

A Channel 13 non-Muslim journalist from Israel toured Islam's holiest site from the inside, helped by an anonymous Saudi driver, as part of a Monday broadcast, according to Middle East Eye. Saudi law strictly prohibits non-Muslims from entering Mecca.

The driver did not know Tamari was an Israeli, as he only spoke in English, the journalist said, according to the Jerusalem Post. His face was blurred for the report, so it's unknown how Saudi police discovered his identity.
