Jordan Henderson hit the headlines after his first national media interview following his Liverpool exit
Saudi Pro League director of football Michael Emenalo has defended Jordan Henderson over his controversial move to Al-Ettifaq from Liverpool.
This week, Henderson has conducted his first interview with national media after his move to the kingdom. The 33-year-old discussed feeling "unwanted" at Anfield following talks with Jurgen Klopp plus his motives behind the move, as well as the reaction to his move from the LGBTQ+ community - after being one of the driving forces supporting the movement in the Premier League.
At Ettifaq, the Sunderland academy graduate was immediately installed as captain and took over the number 10 shirt with the Commandos. "Well first, I am very proud of Jordan. I'm very proud that he chose, of his own volition, to express support and values that he shares. He shouldn't be vilified for that," he said speaking to Sky Sports.
