A gardening expert has shared how to revive a wilted hydrangea. The expert said hydrangeas often experience dehydration problems and can end up collapsing if they go too long without water.
These plants can find moisture during dry seasons because they can deepen their roots significantly while hydrangea root systems grow close to the surface and are more shallow. Luckily, there is a simple way to revive hydrangeas when they become dehydrated and wilted - using a clear plastic bag. She also suggested leaving a small opening at the bottom for ventilation and spraying the bag inside with water to increase humidity.She continued: "Normally, on the very next day or even within a few hours, any collapsed hydrangea bushes start to restore the turgor within their leaves and they begin to look normal."
