Reporter Tom Kershaw took his kids to the beach and set himself a budget challenge- and an unusual hotdog tip
With four weeks of summer holidays still ahead and the cost of days out soaring, it's no surprise that parents are on the hunt for budget-friendly activities to keep their kids entertained. YorkshireLive reporter Tom Kershaw took on the challenge of finding as many affordable yet fun outings as possible.
The 'friendly' UK seaside property hotspot with house prices starting from just £55k Savvy dad Tom also had another reason for picking this beach over others. He said: 'More importantly, we wanted to steer clear of the temptations of the amusements and fairground. A seaside day out can quickly rack up in cost when you wander over to North Beach and the kids spot all the rides.' Arriving at 10.30am they famuly bought an all-day parking ticket for just £8.
